AFIC-NIHD has the honor to be serving a large population of the upper Punjab, the federal capital and Khyber Pakhtunkhwah province, Azad Kashmir. and referred cases from the Armed Forces Hospitals of all over the country. With presence of highly qualified specialists and progressive & active residency training programs in cardiology, cardiac surgery and cardiac anesthesia, AFIC-NIHD has gained the status of a model hospital in the country.

With collaboration of the International Children Heart Foundation (ICHF) USA, the hospital took a giant leap in developing the expertise in surgical and intensive care management of complex congenital heart diseases in children. Initiating Pakistan\'s first Heart Transplant program is another huge achievement.
